With Andrea Neri achieving the feat of winning the 2023 Atlantic Rally for Cruisers, the IY 15.98 Nessun Dorma! has secured the prestigious Boat of the Year Confindustria Nautica Trophy. The coveted award was presented to Andrea Casale, representing the owner who is still on his long cruise, during the Sailor of the Year evening in Genoa. While Andrea Casale was still on stage receiving the applause from the audience, the owner commented almost live: "I am still stunned, I never imagined it was possible and I am happy for the entire Italia Yachts family," Andrea Neri sent us this comment practically in real time. This is the second time Italia Yachts has seen one of its boats awarded this prestigious title; the first was with the IY 11.98 in 2020. Among the finalists for the 2023 Owner of the Year title was also Massimo Romeo Piparo for the successes of the 2023 sports season with his Guardamago II. Nessun Dorma ! ha conquistato il prestigioso titolo di Barca dell’Anno Trofeo Confindustria Nautica. L’ambito riconoscimento è stato consegnato ad Andrea Casale, in rappresentanza dell’armatore che deve ancora rientrare dalla sua lunghissima crociera, nell’ambito della serata del Velista dell’Anno, a Genova. Mentre Andrea Casale era ancora sul palco per raccogliere gli applausi dei presenti, l’armatore ha commentava praticamente in diretta : “Sono ancora stordito, non immaginavo che fosse possibile e sono contento per tutta la famiglia Italia Yachts” è questo il commento che Andrea Neri ci ha inviato praticamente in diretta. E la seconda volta che Italia Yachts vede assegnare ad una sua imbarcazione il prestigioso titolo: la prima è stata dell’IY 11.98 nel 2020. Tra i finalisti per il titolo di Armatore dell’Anno 2023 anche Massimo Romeo Piparo per i successi della stagione sportiva 2023 con la sua Guardamago II.
