"It was a rough start because we didn’t know the boat at all. We had to skip training due to lack of wind, but during the regatta, we got a proper spring breeze, which gave us a real chance to put her to the test." What made you choose an IY 9.98? "It was a well-thought-out choice, and it didn’t disappoint—if anything, we were the ones not quite ‘in sync’ yet!" Since this was your first time out, what surprised you the most? "Upwind performance! The boat is incredibly fast, way more than the rating numbers suggest on paper."
