Palma de Mallorca once again took center stage in international sailing as the 2026 Copa del Rey MAPFRE came to a close. Over the course of an intense week, some of the world’s most competitive teams gathered on the Mediterranean to compete in one of the most prestigious events on the offshore racing calendar.
For Italia Yachts, taking part in this year’s edition was an opportunity to experience first-hand the intensity and energy of a major international regatta. Changing wind conditions, tactical decisions and close racing challenged crews throughout the week, demanding concentration, experience and strong teamwork on board.
The 2026 edition also marked an important moment in the collaboration between Italia Yachts and Altavia, the OVS sportswear brand dedicated to the sailing world. The partnership found a natural setting at the Copa del Rey, bringing together a shared focus on quality, functionality and performance, both on and off the racecourse.
