The first IY 11.98 dedicated to the Italian Navy’s Sailing Programme has been delivered. The beginning of a project that will see five new yachts join the Navy’s fleet, bringing together training, competition and shared values.
A New Course, A Shared Pride
Some milestones represent much more than the delivery of a new yacht. They mark the beginning of a journey, the achievement of a shared commitment and an opportunity to put expertise and passion at the service of a greater purpose.
With the launch and delivery of Sparviero, the first Italia Yachts 11.98 destined for the Italian Navy’s Sailing Programme, an important new partnership officially takes shape.
The ceremony marks the first step in a programme that will see a total of five yachts built by Italia Yachts join the Italian Navy’s fleet, supporting its sailing activities and objectives.
At Sea, Between Training and Competition
Sparviero will play an active role in the Navy’s training and competitive sailing activities. On board, officers and crews will have the opportunity to further develop their seamanship skills, taking part in cruises and competitions where technical expertise, preparation and team spirit make all the difference.
The boats will also compete in regattas and take part in official institutional events, representing the values of the Italian Navy and the excellence of Italian yacht building.
For Italia Yachts, contributing to this project means seeing our work become an active part of a journey built around training, sport and maritime tradition. A source of great pride, together with the responsibility of fulfilling an assignment of such significance.
A Project That Continues
The delivery of Sparviero is only the beginning. Over the coming months, the shipyard will continue building and delivering the remaining four boats covered by the agreement, carrying forward a project founded on mutual trust and a shared passion for the sea.
